About us

Wollongong Meals on Wheels is a community managed organisation supported by a caring, diverse group of volunteers and staff. We are funded by the Department of Ageing, Disability & Home Care (DADHC) under the Home and Community Care (HACC) Program, essentially to provide a home meal delivery service. The Service assists HACC eligible people residing in the Wollongong Local Government Area to be independent at home and in the community. Clients pay for basic meal costs only, delivery is by our dedicated volunteers at no extra cost.

How can I refer someone, or recieve meals myself?

Anyone can refer to the service. An assessment to determine eligibility and client needs is undertaken by trained staff. At the assessment decision is made regarding provision of service and/or referral to other agencies which may be of benefit to the client.
