Staff, volunteers, one off and regular donors, brand/life ambassadors, sponsors and partners that help facilitate our work and other supporters are all Friends of Meals on Wheels.
Their ongoing support and tireless efforts in the community make it possible to deliver the far reaching service provided by Meals on Wheels. Each of our Friends has their own reason to be involved and each gains something different from the experience.

Just as clients of Meals on Wheels represent a true cross-section of society, so do the people we call Friends. Whether a family who volunteers for deliveries or a chef who keeps our clients happy by preparing healthy meals, each and every one has a role that improves other people’s lives. So what is a typical friend? There really is no profile that encompasses the myriad types of people who make up Friends. If we had to identify common traits, the following would apply:
- They gain satisfaction in helping others
- Use their skills, resources and time to make a difference
- Enjoy a sense of community through a shared vision
While many of our Friends share similar goals, their roles are diverse. Does one of these sound like you?

Every other Friend
You probably represent the numerous people who shape our future in small but meaningful ways. You may mention something positive about the work Meals on Wheels does, you may be a client, a local club or someone who just cares and is willing to put up their hand to help in some small way.
